About My Approach
My approach to therapy is both empathic and integrative. I may use several methods and approaches to address the areas on which you wish to focus and to facilitate long-lasting change, such as cognitive, mindfulness-based and behavioral techniques designed to change how you think and behave and techniques designed to gain insight into feelings, thoughts and behaviors. In the beginning, I learn more about you as an individual, your history, and your goals for therapy. We then collaboratively develop goals. As our work continues, we can re-evaluate goals and areas of focus. I typically see clients individually (but sometimes with other family members) on a once-weekly basis. There may be times when we may need to meet more or less often, depending on your needs and goals.
I work primarily adults and older adolescents. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, LGBT health and relationship issues. I provide in person and telehealth services in Arizona. For more information, please see my Psychology Today webpage.
